Speed World Challenge

From www.theracesite.com by Jim Bourn:

Scariest moment – TC

TC Race 2 at Infineon Raceway. Add an oil slick onto one of the fastest and tightest sections of the Infineon Raceway and you have potential for real trouble and possible disaster. Trouble was what we got and it looked very scary seeing one car after another hurtle into the wall in turn 10.

Paul Lambert in his STaSIS Audi A4, who had spun out of the top ten earlier, went hard into the wall at ten after hitting the oil with Matt Richmond in the Bimmerworld/Ground Control BMW spinning in the same oil and also spun into the tires and then into Lambert.

Brandon Davis, A-Spec/RealTime Racing Acura RSX and Nick Woodhouse (Woodhouse Associates BMW) also hit the oil and joined the pile on the tire wall. Only Richmond was able to continue and Matt actually finished 14th after the contact.

As the pile started to grow in a very confined part of the track it could have gotten much worse but the oil flags came out and the rest of the field made it trough relatively unscathed.
